About Ali Farag

Dr. Ali Farag is a Global Advisor and SME for Geomechanics. Based in Dubai. He started with Halliburton as a Global DOS advisor, has over 33 years of operational experience. He is a subject matter expert in DD, Geomechanics, drilling fluid engineering and Geology, as well as various management roles relating to real-time operations & support, and project management as the Operations & Exploration Manager at an operator (Enpedco), and then professor in British University in Egypt (BUE) and Cairo University. Dr. Farag holds a Ph.D. In Applied Geophysics from Ain Shams University, a Masters in Geo-pressure from Cairo University   and bachelor’s degree in Geology and Seismology from Zagazig University.
