Dr. Mohamed Alaa El Din possesses over 35 years of extensive experience in the Oil and gas industry, primarily with Halliburton. He commenced his professional journey as a Mud logger and subsequently served as a pressure (ADT) engineer. His career progressed through key technical roles including logging while drilling engineer (LWD- MWD engineer) and Geosteering engineer.
Dr. Alaa later joined Halliburton’s International Training Center, where he held the position of senior technical instructor, delivering a wide range of specialized courses to field engineers. These courses encompassed Logging While Drilling, well logging technologies, petrophysical evaluation and radiation safety courses. He was later appointed as Manager of the Halliburton international training center in Cairo, overseeing the development and implementation of advanced technical training programs.
In addition to his industry contribution, Dr. Alaa has amassed over seven years of academic teaching experience. He has instructed engineers from various exploration companies and has lectured at leading institution including Future University and Cairo University’s Faculty of Petroleum Engineering, as well as the Geology and Geophysics departments at Ain Shams and Alexandria Universities. Furthermore, he has served as a supervisor and reviewer for numerous postgraduate theses at Cairo, Alexandria, and Damanhur Universities.
