In oil & gas industry upstream level, we have enormous database of production data on all levels
such as wells, reservoirs, fault blocks, fields, concessions…. etc. In the past, we used to have
estimated flowing bottom hole pressure data from other sources like fluid level shots in the
wells. Recently in past years, we also have bottom hole flowing pressure data on well level in
our fields (smart completions) using downhole installed - surface read out pressure gauges. We
can use the production data to give a hint on the nature of water invasion in an oil producer.
However, it is very vital to know how to combine this production rates and pressure data and
see what we get from their analysis together to get insights into our well & reservoir as well.
This course will provide you with the required knowledge – including analysis to be done on
familiar softwares in this category - to perform such analyses to better manage the wells and
reservoir systems as best as it can be done.
