A Reservoir engineer at Gupco  Shortly after graduation started his career as a field engineer in Powerline DD service for one year then moved into Gupco as a production technology field engineer for almost 2 years until transferring to Cairo head office to be in the contracts team then currently a petroleum reservoir engineer for almost one year and six months. Being passionate and thrusty to develop himself, he participated in different competitions through his career life like EED, IBA, SPE paper contest..etc and represent his company in different conferences like EGYPS in Egypt and WHOC in Oman. Moreover, having a dynamic character believing in volunteering activities enabled him to be the chsirperson of LDP SPE YP and reservoir team leader in PDP.

Keep you momentum is his beloved words.

What you'll learn

Course Objectives:

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the fundamental principles of material balance in reservoir engineering.
  2. Perform material balance calculations for oil and gas reservoirs.
  3. Use MBAL software to analyze reservoir performance data.
  4. Evaluate the influence of drive mechanisms on reservoir behavior.
  5. Apply material balance methods for forecasting reservoir performance.
  6. Integrate material balance analysis with production data and reservoir simulation.

Description

Material Balance Analysis (MBAL) is a vital tool in reservoir engineering for evaluating the behavior and performance of hydrocarbon reservoirs. This course is designed to provide participants with in-depth knowledge of material balance principles, reservoir performance analysis, and the application of MBAL software. The course is ideal for petroleum engineers, reservoir engineers, and geoscientists seeking to improve their decision-making processes related to reservoir management.
